Once Upon a Time….

Sally has intuitively designed something for us to write that reaches into our experiences about our senses that is very unique and exciting to do.

Welcome to the new series of the Sunday Interview..Human in every sense of the word.

As humans there are five main senses that we rely on to navigate through this world.  And there is one that we all possess but do not necessarily use all the time…

Sight, Hearing, Touch, Taste, Smell….Sixth Sense.

For some people however, one or more of those senses do not function and we can only imagine the challenges this results in.

I don’t know about you, but I take my senses for granted, expecting to see my surroundings when I wake up each morning, hear the birds sing, feel the bedclothes as I throw them back, and the carpet beneath my feet. 1. Thanks for sharing this, Karen. I read Sally’s tribute to her beloved Sam, which brought back memories of my own beloved canine companion, Teddy Bear.

    1. OMG, what an adorable name for a little doggie – Teddy Bear. I love canines too and my beloved Katie Bell, we lost her to cancer in 2010 and it broke my heart. She was my 14 year old, sweet little talkative dachshund.

      1. Teddy was a chow chow and shepherd mix, so she was very sweet to me but quite aggressive with strangers. I lost her to her to cancer, too.

      2. Oh, that is a very painful loss for you and maybe painful physically for Teddy. I cannot go through that again and so I will not be getting another doggy. I still have heartache over Katie Bell’s loss, but at least she had a very happy life and was loved by everyone. She never met a stranger. Teddy and Katie Bell are in Doggy Heaven. Karen 🙂
