You there, worried soul, care not,
For if life’s true claim were to be happy,
Then the joy in the unexpected,
Would not exist,
For life takes joy as solace not as aim,
We must look beyond a joyous moment,
In our given time,
For in the ever after love story of tomorrow,
And should your heart be freed,
Then I will wait upon you,
And, if your future life should need,
A strength that only I can give,
Then I will love you then.

It’s so true. I was a bit sad today but this has made me feel a bit better. Thank you.

J. J, Yes, it is so true, isn’t? I am glad made you feel better. There are so many grieving hearts out there and this is a tribute to them. Karen

Lisa, thank you so much. I love the old fashioned romantic broken heart poetry that one would find in the early 1800s, the old posts cards and valentine cards. Kinda neat I think. Karen
